Pramis’ checkmate move
by: Francis Autor

There are so many ideas to compare chess with the other games. Chess is a lot different than the others since you need to use your intelligence to win. To others it is boring but actually it is not, it is really fun in a way it educates others.

We all know strategy is the key to win but for some players it is not. Like for the Quezon National High School's champion Rod Vincent Pramis who won many times with little losses except draws or most likely to be called a "stalemate".

According to Pramis, confidence is the key to win every game in chess. Being confident isn't about the pride you eat. Behind Pramis's sucess there is also failure. He is a great chess player and had done strategic moves to win. Before all of that, he suffered from the misery of being a normal grade 10 kinda guy. He joined the chess club of Quezon National High School (QNHS) just this school year (2019-2020). By now he fights the pain and despair of being a stallion.
