G10 cue master Clark Nathan Ranola defeats former intramurals champion Morris Mayor on a five consecutive side spins to earn the Stallions' first gold in the Mens 8 balls Billiards Championship Game at the Quezon National High School Sports Complex Big Grandstand, July 3.

Ranola posted a 3-2 score in the fifth deciding round after the Mayor of the Grade 9 Eagles humiliated him to secure the Stallions' first overall championship.

Ranola's start of the first round was magnificent as he unleashed a top spin to divert ball 4 and ball 8.

Ranola won the first round by edging two consecutive side spins against Mayor, 1-0.

Mayor found his momentum early in the second round but was sacked at the end of the game after throwing back-to-back missed shots in the second set which resulted in Mayor's 1-1 draw.

Growing up in the third round, Ranola immediately pulled out a perfect 8 balls side spins to lift a 2-1 score and to stop the Mayor.

Ranola locked the deficit to 3-2 when he posted five consecutive side spins to beat Mayor.

The tournament started at Bracket A with an 8 ball rack followed by Ymaz Alcontado of Grade 7 and Kios Ramos of Grade 9 and eventually Ramos's confidence overcame a 3-2 win.

Ramos outscored Ranola in the second game after defeating Alconatado but failed to defeat Ranola after falling to 1-2.

Mayor snatched a win over Jerick Estomay of Grade 10 after the default in Bracket B.'s first game.
